Full Moon in Capricorn

Full Moons are always in the opposite sign of the Sun and occur at the most intense time of the month.  This opposition brings us an opportunity to see opposing points-of-view, and gives us perspective into our emotional natures. While we may be more intensely aware of other’s ways of being, at the same time there is a tendency to be more critical of them.

The Full Moon, in the sign of Capricorn may feel sluggish after the expansive energy of the Full Moon in Sagittarius, from last month. With Capricorn energy, there is a tendency towards being authoritative, critical and serious.  There is a reigning need to “Be in Control” of every situation.  Playtime may seem frivolous and inefficient, as Capricorn energy is more focused on getting the task done. Try not to take yourself, and life, too seriously during this time.

With this Full Moon, there is a positive Grand Trine configuration, involving the Sun, Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune.  The energy of this alignment gives us the ability to make commitments and create structures that support our dreams to come into fruition.  It also aids us in finding and organizing peaceful solutions to perceived problems.

Since the Sun is in the sign of Cancer, creating a feeling of family will support a nurturing atmosphere and the desire to resolve differences for the good of all involved.

Here is a closing Capricorn quote from Julie Andrews:

“Some people regard discipline as a chore. For me, it is a kind of order that sets me free to fly.”

In Love & Appreciation, Govinda & Janet
