Spiritual Dynamics

Alone In A Crowd

by Owen K Waters

The Christmas and New Year’s Holidays are often a time of gathering together for friends and relatives. The holidays can also be a time when spiritually-aware people feel a certain aloneness, even in the midst of a crowd.

It helps to know what can cause such a sense of loneliness, and why it affects spiritually-aware people more so than others. Your outer personality is designed to focus upon the five senses and upon the experience of the outside world which those senses deliver. Your purpose here on Earth is to experience being an individual, and that is exactly why a sense of isolation can occur, especially during the holidays.

Just as each snowflake is unique, so is each person. Your primary purpose in life is to experience life from one individual, unique point of view. You are an expression of Infinite Being as it experiences itself from all possible viewpoints.

Because we are all connected within, we need to take a moment to go beyond the separated appearance of a room full of individuals and recall the inner connection that we share with the people around us.

Recalling that inner connection is not hard. At night, in the deepest level of sleep, you reconnect with your soul family and thrill at the union you all share. Soul families consist of people who resonate to the same ‘musical’ tone of consciousness as each other. Each person has a signature tone of consciousness which represents who they are.

When you meet people in your soul family at night, you know them by the unique signature tone of consciousness that radiates from them. It doesn’t matter how their spiritual body appears to your sense of spiritual vision, you know them by how their unique consciousness signal, their ‘signature tone,’ feels to you.

Each person belongs to a primary group of soul mates which, typically, numbers somewhere around eight souls. This primary group vibrates in close harmony with other groups which, in turn, vibrate in close harmony with still more groups. The number of people in an extended soul family can easily stretch to two thousand or more individuals. Among these, especially the closer ones, are the people that you interact with in meaningful ways as you pass through life on Earth together. In fact, you plan your life as a soul before you begin your life so that you can arrange to meet significant friends who will help you through significant events and experiences in that life.

Part of your consciousness lives with the pure essence of your soul family all the time, not just at night when the main focus of your attention rises through the spirit realms to meet them. It is your awareness of that soul family-connected part of yourself which makes you yearn for the close community that you experience in those other realms of consciousness.

The holidays are a good time to remember that, no matter how different people appear to each other through their surface personalities, deep down we are all one.

Feel the connection. Feel the love that binds all of life in this universe together, and remember that, in the ultimate reality,

We are all One. We are all aspects of Infinite Being.

A Winter Flame

A Special Message for the Solstice
December 12, 2013

by Jennifer Posada

I thought I’d be so sad when summer passed, but by the time the soft heat turned crisp and bright, I was ready…

And autumn, as she never fails to do, wrapped me up in her sweet fruition…her plump rose hips and all the eventualities of the efforts of another year’s seeds.  And suddenly this year, the tree in our front yard whose leaves had always turned a nice muddy red-brown, was lit up in a heart-stopping electric red.  It was so stunning it seemed impossibly succulent, like a dream painted onto reality.  But its most gorgeous truth is that it was very real indeed…it was the reminder that everything is passionate.  Even the very last whisper of a harvest, and even, it promised, the cold and dark, the fallow-seeming time to come…

Whether you are in the part of the world where the days are long, even-lengthed, or short right now, the messages about the energies of the time as we approach this solstice will speak to us all.  And these messages I speak of are messages of hope, of life, of fire under cold ground, and a blaze re-warming the cold places within us…the hardened, wintery layers of ice are readying themselves to crack and melt.  An inner spring is already raging deep inside of us, and we will see its signs sooner than we may have imagined.

For, as I shared in my recent Oracle Prophecy Message about 2014 and the time leading up to it, this is a “blind time” where we are very much in the dark about what many things mean in our lives and what’s coming next.  This is just right.  We’re not meant to have answers now.  We’re meant to sit in the quiet field of not knowing, and be renewed there…even if it’s uncomfortable at first.  For we are making space.  We are making space for a brand new vision that needs a lot of room, and that will fill our lives with an unmistakable joy.  Sure, like a crush it may begin as a tickle, but soon it will light up like the tree in my yard…impossibly and achingly red, and alive.

In the time between now and then, things may start to feel compressed and heavy in the “darkness” of not knowing at times.  When we are shakily readying ourselves for a completely new era in our lives, we often pass through a phase of being more vulnerable to doubt and negative energies around us.  This is a time when we will want to draw close to our sources of warmth and positivity and support, or, if we haven’t much of that, at least draw away from what brings us down, drains us, or is anti-supportive in any way whenever possible.  Nestle in, go out, if you can help it, only when it would make you feel jolly, and leave a place if you can when it doesn’t feel that way.  Stay away from unnecessary bad news and fill yourself with things that delight you…anything from a brisk, fresh walk, to your favorite magazine, to getting cozy with a furry (or non-furry) friend…the options are endless.  Let these things anchor you.  The storm will pass.

You see, there is a promise in any winter.   Be it a winter within you or that actual cold season most of us know so well.  It is the promise, ever-present, of spring.  It is the promise that this time has only come in order to make more room for you to flourish later.  This is your natural time to release what no longer serves you, and the transformational energies of the solstice will only further encourage and support this.  You may find yourself naked and unknowing in the snow, but somehow, in the end, you’ll be warm.  Your cheeks will be flushed with a secret.  One you probably won’t even be able to name, but you will know it.  It will make your blood rush.  Know that while your boat may feel tossed in the waves at times for a while, and you may feel more susceptible to challenging energies, this is ultimately where you are headed…to warmer shores of new life and new vision.

For one day, after I’d slipped into the soft silk of falls lushness, I came home to find that there was no more red on our tree, and all the leaves were soggy underfoot and the same brown as the surrendering earth.  But I knew their secret.  I knew I’d hold it in my heart all winter and that new things would bloom in that place where I did so.  Things I couldn’t see yet, but things whose new beauty would stun me like those red leaves had…and more…

So, the other night when I was already in full darkness at what felt like only late-afternoon, and I got out of my car to check the mail under pitch-black skies and in a bracing chill, I told the winter to take me.  To just take me in.  To embrace me and give me everything she had.  All the dark flowers that will bloom as something electric and pulsing later, if I but hold their tender outlines in my hands and let everything else slip through.  Indeed, there’s little we can hold onto but night flowers right now, but night flowers will show us the way if we wait, and are quiet, and pick up the scent until we can see in the dark, which will happen on the day we have given up trying.

For in my hemisphere, and energetically in many ways around the world, this is a new moon time of year.  And the new moon is always the time of darkness that contains all the fullness to come.  Soon I will meet you under the fullness of this moon, but for now take comfort that we are about to begin anew.  Path unclear, footsteps soft, but without the certain ideas of the future to get in the way, the previously impossible can finally take root, deep in the night…deep in the snow…and sweep us away with its elegant, rebel glow, it’s epic revelation, when the time is right…

To the stirring in the seeds within you right now, and may you have a bed of night flowers to rest on while you wait…

Love, Jennifer

Inspiration for the Week – from Shanta Gabriel

Accepting What Is

from Shanta Gabriel

When I chose this message today, I had to laugh. Acceptance does not seem to be one of the virtues I have been displaying recently.

Of course I have also noticed that when I am in judgment about “what is” and resisting my present reality, it causes extreme stress in my physical and emotional bodies. It is the awareness of my stress level that finally pushes me to remember that my state will not change for the better until I release the clutches of that part of me trying to control things. Finally I can then focus my attention on what I really intend to experience in my life and trust the Universe will provide whatever is in the forefront of my attention.

Sometimes this process seems easier than at other times…

The Gabriel Message card for this week (The Gabriel Message Cards are the inspirational companion cardset to the book messages):

Accept what is and allow change to occur around you without attachment.

Here is the complete text from The Gabriel Messages book:

“Dear One,

“When we suggest for you to accept what is, we mean to be lovingly aware of all situations occurring in and around you – both personally and globally. This means to accept the appearance of what is occurring, without judgment. There is a greater truth underlying all things, no matter how it appears. When you accept a situation as it is, it allows you to release any attachment to having it be different. It is this attachment that can cause you pain.

“Just as a child grows and blossoms when in an atmosphere of acceptance and love, so does our world become more expansive and creative when we bring to it this energy of acceptance. When we try to force a child to do what we want, when we have great attachment to his or her behavior conforming to our idea of what is appropriate, the child’s energy is restricted. There is no freedom to express the expansiveness of individual creativity.

“This also happens to the adult. When there is too much judgment about behaviors and actions in the world, there can be no free-flowing expression of the creativity and love inherent within each person. This does not mean to be tolerant of behavior that is destructive. It means to be aware of the way things appear, to remember the greater truth, to ask for the qualities we would prefer to have manifest, and then to release our attachment. This allows God and the Angels to begin to work in and through all things.

“When you release a person or a situation to Spirit, you allow them to be in the Divine Flow taking them to their highest good. Know that even though you have prayed for the greater good, you do not know precisely what this will look like. This is where faith comes in. No matter how something appears, if you have prayed, that prayer is being answered. It does not assist things for you to be attached to the outcome. Know that Infinite Intelligence is working, creating change in the direction of balance and harmony. If there is more that you can do, trust that you will be guided to know this through your intuition.

“Acceptance and allowance are two of the greatest powers available to you. These two energies free you to live in the expansiveness that is your divine birthright. When you have an expanded perspective about life, there is greater freedom to express the dynamic, creative qualities inherent within you. There is greater love, for yourself and for all others. You also will feel connected to your Higher Self, which brings about great joy. It is as the Master Jesus said, “know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Remember your message from the Angels today:

Accept what is and allow change to occur around you without attachment.

Full Moon in Taurus Sun in Scorpio

25 degrees, 26 minutes 7:16 am (PST) Sunday, November 17, 2013

This is a deeply emotional and transformative time that is now being intensified by the energy of the Full Moon.  Every emotional planet is somehow being challenged, bringing all of our relationships to the forefront as reflections for us to “win some or learn some” (Jason Mraz).

“Relationship is surely the mirror in which you discover yourself.”
~ Krishnamurti~

The Moon is exalted in the sign of Taurus, meaning that it loves to be here.  This Full Moon brings gentleness and affection into our relationships.  It sparks our desire to be romantic, express creativity, and to slow down and enjoy nature.  This is a soothing place to be after the impulsive and fast pace of the Aries Moon.  The energy of Taurus can be one of stubbornness and a belief that ‘I’m not stubborn, I’m just right’.  If you find yourself thinking this thought, stop and take a deep breath, and listen to the opposing perspective.  You might be surprised at what you would have missed, otherwise.

The Sun is in the sign of Scorpio.  This is a deeply emotional and passionate sign.  Communication is the key to a successful relationship. However, it is difficult for a Scorpion to talk about their feelings.  Taurus and Scorpio are both fixed signs, meaning that they are not naturally flexible and they like to keep things the same.  With this Full Moon in Taurus and the Sun in Scorpio, one way that would support relationships is to take a walk in nature and allow the flow of communication to unfold naturally.

At this same time, there is a T-Square configuration involving the Sun, Moon and Neptune (shown in red).  Neptune is the planet of idealism, dreams, visions, spirituality and possibilities.  Because it is in a T-Square with the Sun and Moon, some unexpected conflicts and idealistic differences may come up. Hidden agendas may be revealed, so they can be addressed and possitive choices can made for the highest good of all involved.

This configuration will also show you where you may be out-of-harmony with your ideals and your true Essence.  It will show you where you have been too sympathetic, with a tendency to enable rather than empower.  Also, watch for a tendency towards ‘victim consciousness’.  Take responsibility for your life and choose to live every moment ‘awake’.

The planet Jupiter is in a Trine aspect to the Sun and Saturn. This supports us in expanding our perspectives and applying spiritual wisdom to our lives.  It is a powerful time to create structures that are in harmony with our inner knowing.

Jupiter is also sextile to the Moon and Mars.  This supports success through taking positive actions to resolve our differences through sensitivity, nurturing and treating others as our family.  This will empower everyone involved to realize their greatest potential.

You can maximize your connection with the energy of this Full Moon easily by taking a moment to close your eyes, take in a few deep breaths and open your senses to the beauty of the nature that surrounds us.

In Love & Appreciation,

Govinda & Janet

Marianne Williamson Announces Run for Congress

Marianne Williamson

Marianne Williamson is an internationally acclaimed author, lecturer and thought leader. Six of her 10 published books have been New York Times Best Sellers. Four of these have been #1 New York Times Best Sellers. “We don’t just need new policies, we need a new world view,” says Marianne.

By Tabby Biddle, Women’s leadership expert, writer & leadership coach
As reported on Huffington Post

Marianne Williamson, beloved spiritual teacher and author of the bestselling “A Return to Love” and “Healing the Soul of America,” announced on Sunday in Los Angeles her run for the United States Congress. She’ll be running for the U.S. House of Representatives in California’s 33rd District, a seat currently held by 74-year old Democrat Henry Waxman, one of the most longstanding members of Congress. (He has held the seat for 38 years.)

While Marianne has been a lifelong Democrat, she is running this race as an Independent. “I believe that a wave of independent candidates, all committed to a huge course-correction, is necessary to turn our ship around. I feel my campaign, and most importantly my win, can help inspire such a movement,” says Marianne.

Marianne is no stranger to the needs of Americans and to the needs of our political system. For 30 years, she has worked intimately with people in crisis. From her work as a spiritual advisor and meal provider to those living with HIV/AIDS, to providing non-medical support to those living with life-challenging illnesses, to being a teacher of A Course in Miracles for those suffering from addictions, Marianne has demonstrated a long history of willingness to go into the trenches and be of service to those in greatest need.

On the political front, Marianne co-founded The Peace Alliance, promoting legislation to establish a United States Department of Peace, and she is on the Board of Directors of RESULTS, a citizens lobbying group working to create the political will to end hunger and poverty.

The problems of American politics are big. Our government has lost its ethical center; it has become commandeered by moneyed interests; and gender inequality remains huge. Rather than lead with a single legislative initiative, Marianne’s solution is big. It’s about leading with a heart consciousness and nurturing, what Martin Luther King, Jr. called, the beloved community. “Politics should not be the least heart-filled thing we do, it should be the most heart-filled thing we do,” said Marianne when she announced her candidacy to an excited full house at the Saban Theatre in Los Angeles.

As a daughter of an immigration lawyer, Marianne saw firsthand what it meant to people who had made it out of countries of terrible tyranny and suppression to make a new life in the United States. It meant everything to them. Seeing this gave Marianne a deep appreciation for the value of our democracy, in human terms. “As citizens of the United States, we are stewards of this magnificent thing called democracy,” said Marianne to an inspired crowd of over 2,000 people at the Saban Theatre. She added later: “When America does what’s right, it’s such a light on this planet.”

As Marianne shared her story on Sunday, she recalled when she began work in the AIDS community. She said that at that time, close to 30 years ago, allopathic doctors would look at her and those who were talking about holistic medicine, and the psychological, emotional and spiritual elements for healing, and just kind of pat them on the head. In other words, they weren’t taken very seriously. Today you have Harvard University with symposiums on Integrative Medicine, and oncologists who are the first ones to tell you to go to a spiritual support group. “We need that same type of holistic paradigm to occur now in the United States Congress,” said Marianne.

My experience of Marianne is that she will bring a healing energy in through the doors of Congress that will permeate the halls, offices and meeting spaces of Capitol Hill. By nature of who she is and what she stands for, Marianne will not only be serving her constituents in Southern California, she will be serving the greater good of American democracy.

Marianne has been considering this deepening of her mission over the last year. I first heard a hint of it last October at Sister Giant, an event Marianne founded to change the conversation in American politics and to encourage women to re-envision their political possibilities. “At a certain point, it’s not enough for us to be activists from the periphery,” said Marianne.

Looks like she took her own words to heart.

Marianne hopes that her campaign will give people who haven’t participated in a congressional campaign before – particularly those who have felt sidelined or cynical about the political process – the inspiration to renew their commitment to exercise their own citizenship.

“What needs to be done now can’t be done only from the sidelines; those of us who share the values of this campaign need to stand on them, run on them and win on them. This way we’ll reclaim our democracy and help save the world,” says Marianne.

That’s why Marianne Williamson, beloved spiritual teacher and activist, is running for the United States Congress.
